Gregory Ochser '17 graduated from the University of Arizona in 2019 with a degree in Agricultural Resource Economics and Management. He now lives in Scottsdale, Arizona as a Consignment Spe‐cialist and Automotive Expert for Barrett‐Jackson and serves on the Board of Advisors for Kappa‐Tau. Gregory is a third‐generation automotive and motorsport enthusiast with over twenty years of personal and professional automotive experience. His invaluable knowledge, skills, and passion for the field have enabled him to become a trusted advisor for his clients. “As a Consignment Specialist at Barrett‐Jackson, I have the privilege of advising members of the automotive community on how to maximize the value of their prized possessions," he says of his role, "I provide expert guidance on the best strategies for selling and acquiring collector cars while keeping my clients' interests as my top priority.
During his undergraduate career, Gregory played an instrumental role in re‐founding the Kappa Tau chapter, holding the roles of Epi‐Prytanis and Prytanis. “The Kappa‐Tau Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon holds a position of great importance within my heart,” he says, “Serving as the inaugural colonizer and founding father of this rendiƟon of the chapter, I gained a substanƟal wealth of insights into my personal idenrity, the art of iniƟaƟng an entrepreneurial undertaking in the correct manner, and the essence of unselfishly dedicating oneself to an organization that one profoundly embraces. Without the help of Tau Kappa Epsilon, the opportunity to forge connections with an exceptional group of gentlemen, whom I am now privileged to designate as brothers, mentors, and friends, would have passed me by.”
As he reflects on his time as an active member of TKE, Gregory gives the following advice to any undergraduate: “Recognize that the engagement with this organization transcends a mere four‐year commitment, instead evolving into a lifelong commitment. Should you harness the resources of the organization to acquire new knowledge, foster professional networks, and contribute selflessly without the anticipation of reciprocity, you will invariably encounter unprecedented opportunities, exceeding the boundaries of your imagination.”
